I’m Catherine, a food and lifestyle photographer, stylist and recipe developer working across editorial, cookbooks and brand-led storytelling.

I work closely with chefs, writers, editors and publishers to create food imagery that feels natural, thoughtful and grounded — images that support narrative rather than overpower it.

My practice combines cooking, food styling and photography, allowing projects to move seamlessly from concept to final image, whether for a magazine feature, a cookbook or a longer-form editorial story.

I’ve photographed and styled work for UK magazines, restaurants and food-led brands, and have contributed to a number of published cookbooks. My work often sits at the intersection of food, interiors and seasonal living, with an emphasis on texture, light and a sense of place.

I’m comfortable working independently or collaboratively within editorial teams, and I understand the rhythm and demands of longer projects — from developing visual direction and shooting recipes to delivering consistent, cohesive imagery across a full publication.

Visually, I’m drawn to honest food, natural light and considered styling. I like images to feel lived-in and approachable, with space for story and atmosphere. My background in cooking and styling informs every shoot, ensuring food is photographed with sensitivity to how it’s prepared, served and eaten.

Alongside food, I also photograph interiors, florals and lifestyle details, often as part of wider editorial narratives and book projects.

My work has appeared in publications including The Simple Things, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Waitrose Food, Sainsbury’s Magazine and delicious. I’ve collaborated with chefs, writers and publishers on both commissioned editorial features and book projects, and my work has been recognised by the Pink Lady Food / World Food Photographer of the Year Awards.

I’m always interested in editorial and cookbook commissions, and in working with publishers and creative teams who value thoughtful, story-led food photography.
